Jackass Roast proves that choosing decaf doesn’t have to mean giving up interesting coffee.
This Colombian coffee is decaffeinated using the sugarcane process, preserving much of the character of the original bean in a completely natural process (look out for a future blog post on this!).
The result is a naturally sweet and comforting cup with notes reminiscent of toasted nuts, golden syrup and lemonade — rich enough to feel indulgent while remaining smooth and easy to drink.

The Magellanic Penguin is affectionately known in the Falklands as the Jackass Penguin, a nickname inspired by its wonderfully distinctive braying call.
Found around the Islands’ coastline, these curious, characterful birds can often be heard before they are seen, with their unmistakable calls echoing around the Falklands in the morning and evening. To us islanders, this really is the amazing sound of home.
For our decaf, the name seemed particularly fitting. Like the Jackass Penguin, this roast has plenty of personality of its own. Naturally decaffeinated using the sugarcane process, it’s smooth, balanced and full of flavour. Just because it’s decaf doesn’t mean it has to be boring.
